An independent workplace movement

Amazing Feelings at Work

The human feeling that comes from knowing you have done good work may be one of the most powerful — and overlooked — drivers of workplace performance.

The Amazing Feelings at Work Alliance brings people together to advance the conditions that help people perform quality and productive work, build confidence, contribute meaningfully and experience the satisfaction that comes from progress and achievement.

The idea at the centre

Why the human emotion may be the missing driver of workforce performance

Organisations measure productivity, safety, quality, compliance, qualifications and financial outcomes. These measures matter.

But behind every result is a person performing work.

The Alliance exists to help workplaces pay greater attention to the conditions that enable people to understand good work, develop their capability, demonstrate their contribution and feel the confidence that comes from knowing they are progressing.

Our purpose

To advance workplaces in which people can experience the satisfaction of performing good work.

01

Understand

Promote clearer understanding of what good workplace performance looks like and why it matters.

02

Enable

Encourage practical conditions that help people learn through work, build confidence and improve performance.

03

Recognise

Advance evidence-based recognition of demonstrated workplace performance.

04

Share

Build and distribute a practical Body of Knowledge about people, work and performance.

Why the Alliance matters

Performance is not only an organisational outcome. It is a human experience.

People spend a significant part of their lives at work. Yet many workplaces still struggle to make expectations clear, connect learning with actual work, recognise progress or provide convincing evidence of performance.

The consequences are familiar: uncertainty, avoidable mistakes, weak confidence, poor communication, disengagement and lost productivity.

The Alliance promotes a different conversation — one that begins with the work itself and asks how workplaces can help people understand, perform, evidence, improve and take pride in what they do.

What good work can create

From performance to confidence. From confidence to contribution.

The Workplace Performance Body of Knowledge

A relationship, not a dependency

The Alliance and WEPI have different roles.

The Amazing Feelings at Work Alliance is independent. Its role is to advance thinking, discussion and public understanding about the conditions that support good work and meaningful workplace performance.

WEPI — Workplace Education and Performance Infrastructure — provides a practical infrastructure through which organisations can apply a Workplace Performance Discipline.

The Alliance can explore and distribute the ideas. WEPI can help organisations put them into practice.
